Drawing on years of experience as a spoken word performer and coordinator of a Reach Out And Read literacy program and a Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program, Valerie will teach you a few basic skills to help make books come alive for your child. Books carry "instructions" for how to read them out loud. Once we understand the instructions, we will move on to a few simple methods of using voice to help bring the text to life.
This workshop is best as a single session of one to three hours.
